Applications:4-Chloropyridine is used to synthesize Thrombin inhibitors, compounds that have potent anticoagulant activity. 4-Chloropyridine is also used as a reagent to synthesize Botryllazine A, a pyrazine alkaloid that exhibits cytotoxicity against human tumour cells.
