Applications:4-[4-(3-Chloropropyl)-1-piperazinyl]-2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidine is an intermediate in the synthesis of ABT 925 Fumerate (A112600) is a dopamine D3 receptor antagonist that is used in the treatment of acute schizophrenia. 4-[4-(3-Chloropropyl)-1-piperazinyl]-2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidine is also used in the preparation of other dopamine D3 receptor modulators such as 1-(4-pyrimidinyl)piperazines and pyrimidin-2-ones, that are used to treat central nervous system disorders.
