Applications:Crotonoyl chloride is an unsaturated acid chloride that is used as an acylation agent in synthetic chemistry. Crotonoyl chloride is also used as a reagent in the synthesis of (-)-Exiguolide, a 16-membered macrolide that is used as a fertilization inhibitor.
