Applications:2-Cyclopropylethanol is used as a reagent to synthesize 22-Hydroxycholesterol (H918010) derivatives, compounds that act as serum cholesterol lowering agents. 2-Bromoethylcyclopropane is also used to prepare pyridazinones, 2-Cyclopropylethanol is also used to synthesize potent 15-Hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase inhibitors, which ultimately minimize excessive scarring of wounds.
