Applications:3-Deoxy-3-fluoro-D-myo-inositol is an inhibitor and substrate of phosphatidylinositol synthase and inhibits myo-inositol uptake by cells. 3-Deoxy-3-fluoro-D-myo-inositol is also used as the starting material in the synthesis of D-3-deoxy-3-fluorophosphatidylinositol which has cell growth-inhibiting activity against mouse N1H-3T3 cells.
