Applications:Isotope labelled Acephate (A130850) acts as a contact and systemic insecticide in agriculture through pesticide formulations. Through perinatal exposure studies, it has been linked to hyperglycemia, changes in lipid metabolism and type 2 diabetes (1). Acephate exposed Drosophila melanogaster potentially display an L-ascorbic acid mediated defense (2).
