Applications:N-Acetyl-L-cysteine Methyl Ester is used in the preparation of benzyl mono-fluorophosphonate and benzyl penta-fluorophosphate anions as physiologically stable phosphotyrosine mimetics and inhibitors of protein tyrosine phosphatases. It can also be used in the preparation of anthracene derivatives.
