Applications:N2-Acetyl-N5-[(phenylmethoxy)carbonyl]-L-ornithine is an intermediate in the synthesis of L-Ornithinoalanine Trihydrochloride (O688850). L-Ornithinoalanine Trihydrochloride, is an unnatural amino acid occurs in rats that are fed on alkali treated proteins. L-Ornithinoalanine causes nephrocytomegaly in rats but it is reversible.
