Applications:Alagebrium Chloride is used in the treatment of obesity resulting from a diet high in both fat and AGE that causes renal impairment in animals. Alagebrium inhibits AGE-mediated formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), extracellular signal-regulated kinase phosphorylation, and cyclooxygenase-2 expression.
