Applications:Sulfurous Acid is used as a reagent in the synthesis of triclosan analogs for discovery of nonbiocidal, potent FabI inhibitors for the treatment of drug-resistant bacteria. Sulfurous Acid might also potentially have a protective effect on the degradation of monosaccharides.
