Applications:2-((1-Benzylpiperidin-4-yl)methyl)-2-hydroxy-5,6-dimethoxy-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one is a piperidine derivative of research interest in senile dementia for its activity as an acetylcholinesterase(AChE) inhibitor. This compound is an analogue of donepezil, an approved medication used to treat Alzheimer’s disease, because of its reversible inhibition activity on AChE.
