Applications:Ethyl 3-Oxo-6-(phenylmethoxy)-hexanoic Acid Ester is used in the discovery of cyclic amide derivatives that inhibits 11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1. Also, it is derived from Ethyl Hydrogen Malonate (E918830), which has been shown to impair brain mitochondrial succinate and malate transport. It is also found in the extract of Hericum erinaceus mushroom which shows antitumor effects in tumor-bearing mice.
