Applications:4-Chloro-1-(4-methoxyphenoxy)-2-nitrobenzene is used in the preparation of Amino Hydroxynimesulide (A618310), an analog of Nimesulide (N477500), an antiinflammatory agent. Preferentially inhibits COX-2 over COX-1. Suppresses chemical-induced carcinogenesis in mice and rats. Inhibits LPS-induced TNF-alpha production.
