Applications:(2R,​3S,​4S,​5S) -5-Hydroxy-2,3,4-tris(phenylmethoxy)-5-[(phenylmethoxy)methyl]-cyclohexyl-(R)-2-amino-3-phenoxypropanal is an intermediate used in the synthesis of (S)-Valiolamine Voglibose Dihydrochloride (V094395), which is the main S-enantiomeric intermediate of Voglibose (V750000), an α-glucosidase inhibitor that works by delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, thereby inhibiting postprandial hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia.
