Applications:Augmentin is a 4:1 mixture of Amoxicillin to Clavulanate which is an enhanced formulation that serves as broad-spectrum antibiotic that is more effective against resistant pathogens. It maintains therapeutically useful concentrations of plasma Amoxicillin for longer periods after dosing.
