Applications:Chromium (VI) Oxide is a toxic compound that has been strongly linked to initiating cancer in humans. Chromium (VI) oxide is also used as a catalyst in the oxidation of benzylic compounds (e.g. Toluene [T535870]) with periodic acid as the terminal oxidant.
