Applications:9-Decenoic Acid is used to prepare epothilones A and B via macroaldolization, olefin metathesis and macrolactonization. It is also used to synthesize potent, selective, and efficacious reversible a-ketoheterocycle inhibitors of fatty acid amide hydrolase effective as analgesics.
