Applications:Ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate is used to detect the amount of aromatic amines and phenolic compounds in a variety of samples. Ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate is also used as a reagent to synthesize amide anhydrovinblastine analogues (e.g. Anhydrovinblastine N’b-oxide sulfate salt [A659755]) as anti-tumour agents.
