Applications:3-Chlorobicyclo[3.2.1]oct-2-ene is used as a reactant in the preparation of arylcarbomethoxybicyclo-octene derivatives as potent and selective inhibitors of dopamine transporter and the synthesis of bicyclo[3.2.1]octane derivatives as inhibitors of dopamine and serotonin transporters.
