Applications:4-Chloro-3-nitrophenol is degraded by Burkholderia sp. strain SJ98 and utilizes it as sole source of carbon, nitrogen and energy under aerobic conditions. Also it is an intermediate of 8-Hydroxychlorpromazine (H824905), which is a metabolite of chlorpromazine (C424750) which is used as an antiemetic.
