Applications:trans-4-Amino-acetate Cyclohexanol Hydrochloride is an intermediate in the synthesis of 1-(4-Hydroxycyclohexyl)-3-methyl-1,3,5-triazinane-2,4,6-trione (D485585), a metabolite of Hexazinone (H294800) which is a herbicide. It functions by inhibiting photosynthesis and thus is a nonselective herbicide. Hexazinone is a pervasive groundwater contaminant, due to its high water solubility.
