Applications:(-)-(18-Crown-6)-2,3,11,12-tetracarboxamide is an intermediate in the synthesis of a chiral NMR solvating agent used for determining the enantiomeric purity and absolute configuration of b-amino acids. It is also used as a solvating agent in the chiral NMR discrimination of pyrrolidines.
