Applications:N2-Acetylphenelzine is similar to Phenelzine (P295900), yet a less potent inhibitor of MAO-A and MAO-B. Phenelzine is a is a non-selective and irreversible monoamine oxidase (MAO) and GABA-transaminase (GABA-T) inhibitor that also increases brain GABA levels. Phenelzine is an antidepressant and anxiolytic used in the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) as well as other neural disorders.
