Applications:Deoxymannojirimycin has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the mammalian Golgi alpha- mannosidase 1 activity, blocking the conversion of high-mannose oligosaccharides to complex-type oligosaccharides. However, it does not inhibit the biosynthesis of lipid- linked oligosaccharides.
