Applications:1,3-Diazidoadamantane is an intermediate in the synthesis of 1-Amino-3-nitroadamantane (A618130) which has potential application in co-catalyst for transition metal reactions and maybe a useful intermediate for the synthesis of Vildagliptin (V305000), an antidiabetic drug that inhibits dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4). Vildagliptin exhibits antioxidant properties and may be an apoptotic compound against pancreatic cancer cells.
